In calendar we shall discuss about odd days, ordinary year, leap year.

Odd days

Odd day means the number of days more than the complete weeks.

It is used to find the day of the week of a given date.

Counting of odd days

1 ordinary year =365 days ,365days=(52 weeks +1days)

So 1 ordinary year has 1 odd days.

1 leap year= 366 days ,366 days=(52 weeks + 2 days)

So 1 leap year has 2 odd days.

Example

If today is Monday then what day of the week will be after 62 days ?

A) Monday

B) Friday

C) Saturday

D) Sunday

Answer:D) Sunday

Explanation: When the given day number is divisible by 7 then the day will same as given day. Here by dividing 62 by 7 we get the reminder 6 which is the odd day. From Monday after 6 days is Sunday.

Ordinary year

In an ordinary year, there are 365 days,12 month,52 week.

Leap year

In an leap year ,there are 366 days, 12 month,52 weeks. 366-365=1 day more in a leap year compared to and ordinary year.
