yes,i think mrs.Packeltide was able to achieve her hearts desire of killing a tiger and to show off she was the possessor of a dead tiger. She wanted her photographs to be published in the newspaper. Her desire was accomplished positively. She was able to outdo loona bimberton and she sent her a gift if a tiger-claw brooch.

Answer :

louisa Mebbin blackmaited mrs.packeltide into buying her the weekend cottage or else she would have told loona bimberton that it was not the tiger but a more goat that mrs packltide had shot. The tiger liles would always remind of how she procured the cottage.

The tiger shooting organised by the villagers was a serious affair. They were very keen to earn their thousand rupees .they posted children at the outskirts of f to new hunting grounds. Goats were scattered to help him satisfies and to prevent the him from straying mothers with walked quitely though the jungle so as to not to disturb its sleep. The villagers had only one worry that the tiger should not die age before the day of shoot.

Mrs. Packletide’s tiger is a humourous story. The author makes fun of almost all the characters. He satirises Mrs. Packletide’s obsession with killing a tiger so as to show off in front of loona Bimberton. He makes fun of lousia Mebbin materialistic nature. She was very particular about how every penny was spent. He makes funny of loona Bimberton who refused to attend Mrs. Packletide’s luncheon party because she was jealous of her acivement.

the story begins with mrs packletides absession to procure a tiger skin so that she can show it off to loona bimerton to obtain the tiger skin mrs .packletide goes to extreme length; she offers a thousand rupes to the village to shoot a tiger without much risk or exertion.she acquires a paid companion, Louisa mibben a witness to her extranational newspapers.finnaly,she buys a weekend cottage for lousia Mebbin to prevent her from telling anybody that it was not the tiger but a goat she had shot because the tiger merely died of a heart attack. This story is definitely a satire. The author not only makes fun of the situation but also of the characters.mrs packletides action were largely directed by dislike of loona bimberton.the motive behind tiger hunt was to show off to her loona bimberton did not look at mrs packletide’s picture in the news papers.her letter of thanks for the tiger –claws brooch was a model of repressed emotion.she declined to attend the luncheon party because she would not be able to see people praising Mrs.packletide both Louisa Mebbin and the villagers are only concerned about their remuneration lousia Mebbin even blackmailed mrs packletide into buying her a cottage .the villager’ hapily belive that mrs packletide had shot the tiger. The whole situation is laced with satire .an old tiger who was chosen for hunting died of heart failure .the author describes a society governed by wealth and mutual dislike of others.
